Think360's Aesthetic Education Institute of Colorado

June 25-29, 2012 Think 360 Arts and Morgridge College of Education at the University of Denver recently held the Aesthetic Education Institute of Colorado (AEIC), an intensive summer professional development training in arts integration. AEIC is designed for school administrators and K-12 teachers in all content areas to discover teaching techniques that equip students with 21st century skills. AEIC was held at Denver School of the Arts on June 25-29.

Young Audiences New Jersey Merges with YA of Eastern Pennsylvania

Young Audiences New Jersey is merging with its sister organization, Young Audiences of Eastern Pennsylvania. This unity not only attempts to compensate for the budget cuts but to reach out to a much bigger number of students. Larry Capo, the Executive Director stated that the goal of the merger was to “reach every child with a quality arts education every year” through programs offered to schools. Read more at NJ.com

The Alliance Theatre, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, High Museum of Art, and Young Audiences are thrilled to present the inaugural TODDLER TAKEOVER: an arts festival for the very young, May 31-June 2, 2014, at the Woodruff Arts Center. This one-of-a-kind experience will feature performances of all six original productions of the Alliance Theatre for the Very Young, the debut of the Atlanta Symphony's Music for the Very Young, side by side art making at the High Museum of Art, and an interactive play space hosted by Young Audiences artists.

Young Audiences of Northeast Texas will be offering a program that will give local artists the opportunity to receive training to cultivate the skills necessary to create arts-integrated residencies to offer at local schools. A residency is a sequential series of classroom visits by one artist, designed to help students gain proficiency in a particular art form by immersing them in a long-term creative experience. Through the training program, artists will create residencies that will pair their artistic discipline with a content area or subject.
